IT Applications Analysts - Developers
WEC Energy Group is one of the nation’s largest electric generation and distribution and natural gas delivery holding companies. The IT Applications Analyst (Developer) enables and facilitates business success through the application of Information Technology principles, practices and software solutions in partnership with business clients, focusing on software applications and databases.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for supporting and enhancing software solutions
- Tasks involve designing, modifying, developing, testing, configuring and implementing programs, scripts, processes and procedures
- Learns the tools and platforms used by the team; learns and applies the team’s standards and processes; learns and the business area’s processes, applications and objectives; applies analytical skills and consults with others to solve problems; develops sound execution plans to complete tasks and/or solve problems; provides day to day client support as experience and expertise allow; builds relationships within IT; contributes to the team’s success through individual contribution and collaboration
- Develops and uses a variety of IT skills across four main disciplines or areas of emphasis: Systems Analysis & Administration, Software Engineering & Development, Project Management & Delivery and Data Analytics & Architecture
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, MIS, Data Science, Information Science, Engineering is required
- Other bachelor's degrees will be considered based on related IT experience
- Successful completion of a certified Application Development Apprenticeship will also be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree
- Experience in one of the following skillsets: .Net code, VB, SQL Server.Net web, ASP.Net, C#, SQL, Microsoft SQL Server, and HTMLUI Path or RPA Technologies
