How you’ll make an impact in this role
Receive and respond to emergency and non-emergency telephone and radio calls for medical assistance.Serve as a critical link in the emergency response chain.Ensure timely and precise coordination of medical resources.Directly contribute to saving lives and providing essential, immediate care to the community.Efficiently manage all emergency and non-emergency communication and dispatch the right teams.Maintain the vital records necessary for quality and legal compliance.What minimum requirements you’ll need
Education:- High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
- Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
What additional preferences we're seeking
- 911 Emergency Dispatch Experience Preferred Availability for all shift times is required: 7:00am-7:30pm, 12:00pm- 12:30am, and 7:00pm-7:30am. This includes coverage for holidays, weekends, and scheduled time offMust be able to attend a department orientation program for dispatchers that requires at least 24 - 36 hours per week for a minimum of six weeks.
