Job Summary

As a Retail Loss Prevention Customer Service Associate II, you'll be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while maintaining a high level of awareness and vigilance to prevent and investigate potential losses. You'll work closely with our Loss Prevention team to identify and address security risks, ensuring a safe and secure shopping environment for our customers. Your expertise in customer service, communication, and problem-solving will be essential in resolving customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving complaints in a professional and courteous manner

  • Maintain a high level of awareness and vigilance to prevent and investigate potential losses, including shoplifting, theft, and other security risks
  • Collaborate with the Loss Prevention team to identify and address security risks, implementing strategies to prevent and deter losses
  • Conduct regular security checks, monitoring CCTV cameras and responding to alarms as necessary
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers, vendors, and other stakeholders to promote a positive shopping experience
  • Participate in training and development programs to enhance knowledge and skills in loss prevention and customer service
  • Work collaboratively with other departments, including sales, marketing, and operations, to achieve business objectives and improve customer satisfaction

Essential Qualifications:

* High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., business, law enforcement, or security) preferred

  • 1-2 years of experience in a retail or security-related role, with a focus on customer service and loss prevention
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound judgments
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities
  • Physical stamina to work in a retail environment, including standing for long periods, lifting up to 25 pounds, and navigating stairs

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience working in a loss prevention or security-related role, with a focus on retail or commercial settings

  • Knowledge of security protocols and procedures, including CCTV monitoring and alarm systems
  • Familiarity with retail operations, including sales, marketing, and customer service
  • Certification in loss prevention or a related field (e.g., Certified Loss Prevention Professional (CLPP) or Certified Security Professional (CSP))
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues in multiple languages
