Job Overview
As a Chat Systems Administrator I at arenaflex, you'll play a critical role in supporting the AFCENT Combined Air Operations Center (CAOC) with our advanced messaging solutions. You'll be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our chat systems, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with our development team to identify and implement new features and enhancements. Key Responsibilities
* Install, configure, and maintain chat systems, including software and hardware components
- Troubleshoot issues and resolve problems in a timely and efficient manner
- Collaborate with the development team to identify and implement new features and enhancements
- Provide technical support and training to end-users
- Develop and maintain documentation, including user guides and technical manuals
- Participate in on-call rotations to ensure 24/7 support
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless integration with other systems and applications
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies
Essential Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in chat systems administration or a related field
- Strong knowledge of messaging protocols, including XMPP and WebSockets
- Experience with chat system software, including open-source and commercial solutions
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
- Experience with Agile development methodologies and version control systems
Preferred Qualifications
* Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in chat systems administration or a related field
- Experience with cloud-based messaging solutions, including AWS and Azure
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with DevOps practices and tools, including Jenkins and GitLab
- Certification in messaging protocols, such as XMPP or WebSockets
