Educates patients on what to expect before, during, and after diagnostic and treatment procedures, and develops and revises patient educational materials. Serves as a resource to cancer patients, educates and answers questions about disease-specific health concerns, and participates in health lectures and educational outreach programs. Coordinates and participates in weekly multidisciplinary conferences, tracks scheduled procedures, follows pathology results, and monitors outcomes of meetings. Builds relationships with community physician practices/groups to grow disease-specific inpatient and outpatient market share. Engages and enrolls healthcare providers in the Cancer Navigation Pathway Program. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• In-depth clinical knowledge in oncology [Required]
• Must have established positive working relations with the medical community in local areas [Required]
• Excellent communication skills and computer proficiency, including fluency in the English language and experience/knowledge of computer use, particularly MS-Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) [Required]
• Must have knowledge of The Joint Commission requirements and local, state, and federal regulations [Required]
• Ability to work in a self-directed environment, with the capacity to lead and work with teams, and work independently [Required]
• Strong organizational, communication, and customer relation skills [Required]
• Ability to provide age-appropriate cancer education and utilize in-house and external oncology resources [Required]
• Ability to multitask and function in a stressful, fast-paced environment [Required]
• Self-motivated with a clear capacity for independent work [Required] Education:
• Associate's of Nursing [Required]
• Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]
• Master's of Nursing [Preferred] Field of Study:
• N/A Work Experience:
• 2+ years oncology and/or radiation clinical experience mandatory [Required] GI experience required Additional Information:
