Job Summary

The Experienced Customer Logistics Representative will be responsible for executing daily operations, managing service performance, and identifying process improvements to drive cost savings and efficiency gains. This mid-level role requires a proactive and analytical approach, with a focus on anticipating and addressing potential challenges. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with internal departments, customers, carriers, and vendors to ensure seamless execution of logistics operations.

Primary Responsibilities

* Exception-Based Freight Tendering: Responsible for complex and exception-based freight tendering, including rate negotiation with carriers and securing capacity for specialty moves (white-glove, refrigerated, flatbed, expedites, etc.).

  • Service Performance Management: Manage service performance at a load level, including root cause analysis for pickup and/or delivery failures.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Communicate directly and frequently with internal departments, customers, carriers, and vendors through oral or written methods.
  • Exception Load Management: Gather information and research from carriers, consignees, and shippers, and document load exception information in the Transportation Management System (TMS) portal.
  • Process Improvement: Identify process improvements and cost savings opportunities utilizing Quality, Delivery, and Management (QDM) methodologies.
  • Escalation Management: Handle escalations from Customer Logistics Coordinators regarding mismatched data/exceptions following customer SOPs.
  • KPI Management: Manage internal and external Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) as assigned (i.e., tender acceptance, number of missed pickup and deliveries, etc.).
  • Work Instruction Creation and Maintenance: Create and maintain clear work instructions and ensure SOP compliance.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies and procedures.

Education and Experience

* High School Diploma: Required.

  • Associated Degree: Preferred.
  • 0-1 Years of Experience: Required.
  • 2+ Years of Experience in Contract Logistics, Transportation, or Related Industry: Preferred.

* Competitive Pay: arenaflex offers competitive hourly rates depending on your location and experience.

  • Pay Range: $16.92 (Min) - $24.51 (Mid) - $32.10 (Max) Hourly.
