Experienced Chat Moderator – Remote Community Management and Conflict Resolution

Job Description:

As a Chat Moderator at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for maintaining the integrity and quality of our online community by enforcing our community guidelines and rules. This is a part-time, remote position that offers flexibility and the opportunity to work with a dynamic team. Key Responsibilities:

* Moderate the chat of our official Discord server, ensuring that all interactions adhere to our community guidelines and rules.

• Delete messages that violate our community standards, including but not limited to:

+ Hate speech or discriminatory language + Harassment or bullying + Spam or self-promotion + Inappropriate content or links

• Ban users who repeatedly violate our community guidelines, after thorough investigation and review.
• Mute users who have violated our community standards, to prevent further disruption.
• Investigate reports made by users about potential rule violations, and take necessary actions to resolve the issue.
• Collaborate with our team to develop and refine our community guidelines and rules.
• Provide excellent customer service and support to our community members, addressing their concerns and questions in a timely and professional manner.

Qualifications:

* Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people.
• Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of autonomy and self-motivation.
• Familiarity with Discord and online community management tools, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new systems and processes.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience working in online communities or customer-facing roles.

• Familiarity with community management software and tools, such as Discord, Slack, or Asana.
• Knowledge of community guidelines and rules, with a focus on creating a positive and inclusive online environment.
• Experience with conflict resolution and mediation, with a focus on de-escalating tensions and finding mutually beneficial solutions.
