Key Responsibilities

As a Translation Program Specialist, you'll play a critical role in delivering high-quality translations for our global organization. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Receiving daily translation/localization requests from internal teams and stakeholders, and prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines and project requirements.
• Creating and managing translation projects in the Amazon Translation Management System (ATMS) by outsourcing to vendors, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
• Coordinating and communicating project delivery timelines based on project volumes, translation/review process needs, and stakeholder expectations.
• Troubleshooting issues or questions regarding target audience, file type, and business requirements, and providing expert guidance to internal stakeholders and translation vendors.
• Responding to linguistic queries from translation vendors, requesting feedback from internal stakeholders, and coordinating with vendors for implementation.
• Utilizing project management methodology, including risk management, to plan, scope, and deliver projects on time, within budget, and to a high standard, ensuring they meet the requirements of the business.

• Comprehend complex technical concepts and processes, and communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and translation vendors.
• Demonstrate project management experience, with a proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to a high standard.
• Possess organizational discipline to track and manage work for several complex projects simultaneously, with a focus on attention to detail and quality.

Essential Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in translation program management, with a focus on project coordination, vendor management, and quality control.
• Proven experience with translation management systems, including Amazon Translation Management System (ATMS).
• Strong understanding of linguistic principles, including grammar, syntax, and terminology.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders, translation vendors, and external partners.

Preferred Qualifications

* Master's degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field.

• Certification in translation management, project management, or a related field.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple projects and deadlines.
