Experienced Customer Service Representative – Air Travel Industry

Job Summary:
We're seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Customer Service Representative. In this role, you'll be responsible for providing excellent service to customers, handling various aspects of ticketing and baggage, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner. Key Responsibilities:
* Provide friendly and courteous service to customers, ensuring a positive experience from start to finish
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve issues, and provide information on flights, baggage, and other travel-related matters
- Operate a computerized ticketing system, process transactions, and handle cash, checks, credit cards, and other forms of payment
- Manage baggage and freight, ensuring timely and efficient handling
- Resolve customer complaints and issues related to oversold flights, delayed or cancelled flights, lost or damaged baggage, and other travel-related issues
- Provide accurate and up-to-date information on flight schedules, reservations, and other travel-related matters
- Complete forms and reports as required by the organization
- Write incident and complaint reports as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Essential Qualifications:
* High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn new software and systems
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods
- Availability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays
Preferred Qualifications:
* Previous customer service experience in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of airline operations and procedures
- Ability to type or use a computer keyboard with speed and accuracy
- Familiarity with electronic ticketing systems and baggage handling procedures
- Ability to work in a dynamic and ever-changing environment
