Job Overview

The Principal Product Manager - Technical will play a critical role in growing the Device Installments business at arenaflex. This includes managing a suite of payment products, such as our own Monthly Payment product, as well as other payment options like Affirm and credit card payments. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading initiatives to drive customer discovery and understanding of different payment options, working closely with a dedicated engineering team, and influencing partner teams across the organization to drive the product roadmap.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a significant P&L, inspecting both inputs and outputs to achieve financial goals and drive business growth.
  • Define a world-class online customer experience for arenaflex devices, writing working backwards documents to capture the envisioned customer benefit and functional requirements.
  • Lead discussions and thinking with high-level stakeholders to push into testing new ideas and lead cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time.
  • Provide thought leadership with engineering on implementation, working closely with technical teams to drive customer experience improvements.
  • Work globally with teams in other geographies to drive the product roadmap and achieve business objectives.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • 8+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development, or technology experience.
  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product, as well as owning and driving roadmap strategy and definition.
  • Experience with end-to-end product delivery and contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product.
  • Technical product management experience, with a strong understanding of how to work effectively with engineering teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working directly with engineers on product enhancements and project management methodologies, business analysis, or process improvement.
  • Experience leading cross-organizational programs and setting and holding teams and individuals to timelines and deliverables without explicit authority.
  • A high level of business judgment, with the ability to manage a large portfolio of business and make trade-offs between different payment vehicles.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to work effectively in a matrixed organization and synthesize a variety of technologies and capabilities into products and applications that customers love.

Compensation and Benefits

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets, and the base pay for this position ranges from $161,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $279,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors, including market location and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. We also offer a range of benefits, including equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation, as well as a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
