Your Day at arenaflex

As a Customer Service Associate in our Tool Rental department, you'll be the face of arenaflex, welcoming customers and helping them find the right products and services for their home improvement needs. Your day will be filled with:

  • Welcoming customers: Greet customers, answer questions, and deliver friendly and professional customer service.
  • Assisting customers: Help customers locate and handle merchandise, down stock merchandise, and process orders and deliveries accurately.
  • Cross-functional training: Train in other areas of the store to ensure you're equipped to deliver exceptional customer service across departments.
  • Preparing merchandise: Prepare merchandise in your department based on customer needs, such as tinting and mixing paint, cutting and threading pipe, cutting and bundling wood, cutting drywall, and cutting blinds.
  • Guiding customers: Guide customers through shopping or checkout, ensuring they have a seamless and enjoyable experience.

Key Responsibilities

As a Customer Service Associate in our Tool Rental department, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Welcoming customers to arenaflex and delivering friendly and professional customer service.
  • Assisting customers with locating and handling merchandise.
  • Down stocking merchandise by looking for empty areas on shelves and replenishing supplies.
  • Processing orders and deliveries accurately to ensure customers receive merchandise as expected and on time.
  • Cross-functionally training in other areas of the store to help deliver the best customer service.
  • Preparing merchandise in your department based on customer needs.
  • Guiding customers through shopping or checkout.

Minimum Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you'll need to meet the following minimum qualifications:

  • 6 months of experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
  • 6 months of experience using common retail technology, such as smartphones and tablets.
  • Reading, writing, and performing basic arithmetic (addition and subtraction).
  • Ability to perform duties that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties.
  • Minimally lift 25lbs unassisted or over 25lbs with or without an accommodation.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, we encourage candidates with the following qualifications to apply:

  • 6 months of retail and/or customer service experience.
  • Bi-lingual skills.
  • Certification in a trade related to the department (e.g., hardware, kitchen, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden, and lumber/building materials).

Travel Requirements

This role does not require regular travel; however, you may need to travel occasionally to meetings, training, or to support neighboring stores.

Working Conditions

Environmental factors vary by location, and you may be working in both inside and outside weather conditions. Exposure to varying climates, including extreme heat or cold, wet, damp, humid, windy, or drafty conditions, is possible. You may be exposed to constant or intermittent noises in addition to moving or shaking objects and equipment.

Lifting Methods

Lifting methods vary based on role, weight, and volume. Associates must follow guidelines, limiting single lifts to 75 pounds. Team lifts are used minimally starting at 75 pounds or when needed. Powered equipment should be used as required, with proper training or assistance from a trained coworker.
