# Shopify Wholesale Portal & Paywalled Pricing – Developer Request ## Background We operate a Shopify store on the

Shopify Grow plan

and are looking to convert it into a

fully functional wholesale portal

. We are

not interested in Shopify Plus or Shopify Plus B2B

due to cost constraints and intend to remain on the Grow plan. Our primary challenge is that our core products are

custom

and pricing is driven by

variants rather than traditional SKU-based products

. Because of this, we anticipate custom Shopify development (Liquid, theme logic, and possibly custom scripts) will be required. We have attempted to solve this using free or low-cost apps, but the results have been unreliable, difficult to maintain, and prone to pricing or access issues. We are now looking for an experienced Shopify developer to build this correctly and sustainably. --- ## Project Goals The goal of this project is to create a

paywalled wholesale experience

where:

• Pricing is

completely hidden

from non-approved users

• Access is unlocked only after

account creation + paid subscription

• Wholesale pricing works reliably at the

• Add-to-cart and checkout must be disabled or blocked
• Clear calls-to-action prompting users to:
• Create a wholesale account
• Subscribe to unlock pricing and purchasing

### Logged-In but Not Paid (or Expired Subscription)

• Treated the same as logged-out users
• No pricing visibility
• No add-to-cart or checkout access
• Prompt to subscribe or renew membership

### Logged-In + Paid Wholesale Members

• Full access to wholesale portal
• Wholesale pricing visible everywhere (including variants)
• Ability to add to cart and checkout normally
• Clean, easy-to-navigate wholesale catalog
