Job Summary
We're seeking an experienced Customer Service Representative to join our Specialty Pharmacy team in Florida. As a key member of our team, you'll provide telephone support to patients receiving life-sustaining specialty drug therapy, ensuring that their medication orders are processed efficiently and effectively. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Providing exceptional customer service to patients, insurance companies, and internal partners
- Coordinating and processing new patient medication orders and reorders
- Verifying and reverifying benefits to ensure accurate processing
- Translating and entering new or refill prescriptions into the pharmacy information system
- Communicating and collecting copay amounts
- Obtaining authorizations and working with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams to resolve and defer orders with accounts receivable or clinical issues
Key Responsibilities
* Provide exceptional customer service to patients, insurance companies, and internal partners
- Coordinate and process new patient medication orders and reorders
- Verify and reverify benefits to ensure accurate processing
- Translate and enter new or refill prescriptions into the pharmacy information system
- Communicate and collect copay amounts
- Obtain authorizations and work with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams to resolve and defer orders with accounts receivable or clinical issues
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate processing of specialty medications
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of healthcare benefits, insurance, prescriptions, and medical terminology
Essential Qualifications
* One year of experience in a customer service role handling and resolving a high volume of complex customer needs over the phone
- One year of work experience with Windows-based applications, including Windows, Microsoft Office, internet navigation, and email applications
- One year of computer keyboarding experience, skills, and aptitude
- Verifiable high school diploma or equivalent

* Healthcare work experience and familiarity with benefits, insurance, prescriptions, and medical terminology
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
