Key Responsibilities:

* Accurately enter patient information into our software program, ensuring high-quality work and attention to detail

• Access various electronic medical records systems to retrieve and update patient information
• Provide a high level of customer service, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
• Safeguard and protect patient confidentiality by ensuring authorized access to medical information and complying with HIPAA regulations
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve shared goals and objectives
• Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain current knowledge and skills

Essential Qualifications:

* 1+ years of experience in a medical records office environment (training provided for the right candidate)

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, with the ability to learn new software applications quickly
• Ability to type 50+ words per minute with high accuracy
• Strong organizational skills, with a focus on attention to detail and quality work
• Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and customers
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience working in a remote or virtual environment

• Familiarity with electronic medical records systems and data entry software
• Certification in medical records or a related field (e.g., Certified Medical Record Specialist (CMRS))
• Experience working in a healthcare setting, with knowledge of HIPAA regulations and compliance

Information Governance Accountabilities:

* High-level understanding of arenaflex's information governance program and role-specific accountabilities

• Thorough understanding of role requirements, including policies, procedures, and processes, to ensure data integrity and compliance
• Commitment to discussing questions and recommendations about processes and observed variations in performing tasks to ensure a standardized approach to work and services provided
• Participation in education and training as required for corporate compliance and role-specific functions and tasks

HIPAA/Compliance:

* Maintain the confidentiality of patient, employee, and volunteer information, accessing such information only on a need-to-know basis for business purposes

• Comply with all regulations regarding corporate integrity and security obligations
• Report unethical, fraudulent, or unlawful behavior or activity
• Maintain current and yearly HIPAA certification
