Experienced Full Stack Data Engineer – Distributed NoSQL and NewSQL Database Development

The Role

As a Full Stack Data Engineer on our team, you'll be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining a distributed NoSQL and NewSQL database system that meets the needs of our global user base. You'll work closely with our engineering team to develop and implement scalable, high-performance data solutions that ensure the reliability, flexibility, and security of our data infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

* Design and implement a distributed NoSQL and NewSQL database system that meets the needs of our global user base

• Develop and maintain a stateful framework running on top of Kubernetes infrastructure, connecting with AWS services and security APIs
• Configure, automate, and document database activities, ensuring seamless integration with our data pipeline
• Collaborate with our engineering team to develop and implement data solutions that meet the needs of our business
• Participate in code reviews, ensuring high-quality code that meets arenaflex's standards
• Mentor junior team members, providing guidance and support to help them grow in their roles
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in data management and distributed systems, exploring new tools and technologies to improve our data infrastructure

Essential Qualifications

* 9+ years of experience in the industry, with a strong background in data engineering and distributed systems

• Active involvement in building and maintaining distributed NoSQL or NewSQL databases and services
• Strong understanding of systems and infrastructure basics, including Kubernetes, AWS, and cloud computing
• Experience in deep diving and refactoring complex codebases
• Ability to write clean, clear, testable, and efficient code
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in a distributed system
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with experience working in a remote-work environment

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience with public cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure) and their storage, VM, networking, and security offerings

• Familiarity with data management tools and technologies, such as data warehousing, ETL, and data governance
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools, such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Strong understanding of data security and compliance, with experience implementing secure data solutions
