Job Summary

As an Import Operations Customer Service Supervisor at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for leading our customer service team in handling all aspects of import operations, from beginning to end. You'll work closely with our customers, carriers, and vendors to ensure smooth and efficient import processes, while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities

* Lead our customer service team in handling all aspects of import operations, including customs regulations, shipping regulations, and documentation requirements.

  • Foster strong relationships with our customers, carriers, and vendors to ensure seamless import processes and high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and implement strategies to minimize disruptions and ensure compliance with customs regulations.
  • Collaborate with our operations team to resolve complex import-related issues and ensure timely delivery of goods.
  • Negotiate rates with carriers, trucking companies, and vendors to optimize import costs.
  • Provide training and guidance to our customer service team members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to handle import operations effectively.
  • Analyze customer feedback and develop strategies to improve customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in customs regulations, shipping regulations, and industry best practices to ensure arenaflex remains compliant and competitive.

Essential Qualifications

* Minimum 3 years of experience in handling all aspects of import operations, including customs regulations, shipping regulations, and documentation requirements.

  • Proven track record of customer satisfaction, including fostering relationships and resolving complex issues.
  • In-depth understanding of customs regulations, including compliance and minimization of disruptions.
  • Experience handling cross-border moves and negotiating rates with carriers, trucking companies, and vendors.
  • Technologically savvy, with experience using logistics software and systems.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in high-pressure environments.

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience working for a freight forwarder or forwarder with knowledge of import procedures.

  • Familiarity with customs regulations and procedures in the NY/NJ area.
  • Experience with logistics software and systems, including transportation management systems (TMS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
  • Certification in logistics or a related field, such as Certified Logistics Professional (CLP) or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP).
