Job Summary
As an Experienced Customer Service Representative, you will interact directly with patients to influence generic utilization, therapy changes, answer questions, solve problems, provide education, and maintain our company's reputation for high-quality service. This role requires independent and self-directed performance while working collaboratively with a greater team. Your primary focus will be on communicating the benefits of generics or other appropriate therapy to patients, with a goal of providing overall savings to patients and clients.
Key Responsibilities
* Communicate the benefits of generics or other appropriate therapy to patients, with a goal of providing overall savings to patients and clients
- Conduct generic conversions or therapy changes on targeted medications while working closely with the patient
- Perform numerous adherence outreach efforts to ensure patients are staying on their medications and remaining adherent and compliant to their therapies
- Effectively handle incoming or outgoing phone calls to patients, clients, and other customers while proactively gaining patient and order information
- Maintain a working knowledge of insurance, healthcare, reimbursement-related requirements for dispensing, processing of new referrals, and providing customer education
- Routine assessment and problem identification with appropriate escalation to a pharmacist
- Provide empathetic and personalized customer service, resolving patients' questions on the first call
Essential Qualifications
* 1 year of customer service experience handling and resolving customer needs over the phone
- 6 months of high-volume customer service experience working in Windows, Microsoft, or another similar application
- Must reside in the state of Nevada
- Verifiable High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience working in a healthcare or pharmaceutical setting
- Knowledge of insurance, healthcare, and reimbursement-related requirements
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
