The Role
As a Full Stack Data Engineer at arenaflex, you'll play a critical role in designing and building the data infrastructure that powers our industry-leading, high-end global advertising business. Working across our streaming brands and linear stations, you'll have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from building the core foundation of our proprietary ad server to reimagining viewer-first ad experiences and solutions. Our award-winning, in-house developed technologies are the backbone of our advertising business and a key component of our company's streaming future.
Key Responsibilities
As a Full Stack Data Engineer, you'll be responsible for:
- Collaborating with business, analytics, and infrastructure teams to design and build data pipelines that support measuring subscriber growth and metrics.
- Working across disciplines to identify internal and external data sources, design table schema, define ETL pipelines, and implement automated Data Quality checks.
- Designing and implementing data architectures that are performant, reliable, and scalable in a rapidly evolving data ecosystem.
- Developing and maintaining ETL schedules using ETL and orchestration tools like Windstream.
- Executing database operations using tools like Pattern Change.
- Performing ad-hoc analysis as needed.
- Performing SQL and ETL tuning as needed.
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- 2+ years of relevant experience in data engineering.
- A strong understanding of data modeling principles, including layered modeling and data standardization standards.
- Proficiency in SQL engines and the ability to lead advanced performance tuning.
- The ability to think critically, analyze, and interpret market and customer data.
- Strong communication skills – both written and verbal.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- A willingness to work in a fast-paced and highly collaborative environment.
- Knowledge of Agile Scrum principles and practices.
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable:
- 2+ years of experience implementing and maintaining business key performance indicators in data warehousing environments.
- 2+ years of experience using scientific SQL, working with traditional relational databases or distributed systems (Snowflake or Redshift).
- 2+ years of experience with programming languages (e.g., Python, Pyspark).
- 2+ years of experience with data organization/ETL tools (Windstream, Nifi).
- Experience with Snowflake, Databricks/EMR/Flash, or Windstream.
