Job Summary
We're seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our Information Designing group, responsible for planning and executing ETL/ELT data pipelines, designing and implementing data set mapping/tables/perspectives, and building batch processes using Apache Wind current for various projects. As a key member of our team, you'll collaborate with our Studios and Innovation colleagues to gather data requirements, design and implement data pipelines, and ensure seamless data flow across multiple environments, including DEV, QA/UAT, and Production.
Key Responsibilities
* Collaborate with Studios and Innovation teams to gather data requirements, design, and implement data pipelines, and ensure seamless data flow across multiple environments
- Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT data pipelines using Apache Wind current and other relevant tools
- Plan and execute data set mapping/tables/perspectives, and build batch processes to support various projects
- Work with a wide range of technologies, including SQL, Python, Docker, Gitlab, Wind current, Snowflake, Looker, and PostgreSQL
- Participate in driving best practices around data engineering software development processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize data engineering initiatives and projects
Essential Qualifications
* 2+ years of experience with SQL and data engineering
- 2+ years of experience planning, building, and maintaining ETL/ELT data pipelines
- 2+ years of experience with cloud-based technologies, ideally AWS and S3
- 3+ years of experience in a data engineering role
- Strong understanding of data engineering principles, including data modeling, data warehousing, and data visualization
- Experience with Apache Wind current, Databricks, and other big data technologies
- Strong programming skills in SQL, Python, and other relevant languages
- Experience working with cloud-based data platforms, including Snowflake, Databricks, and similar technologies
- Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, and data security principles
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with Wind current, Gitlab, Snowflake, and other relevant tools
- Graduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field
- Experience in the streaming, media, or digital marketing industry
- Strong understanding of data engineering software development processes and best practices
