Business/Data Analyst (SQL, Automation, AI solutions)

This role blends expertise in data management and analytics, business analysis, and exploring solutions for automation/AI. Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Define the data shared across the enterprise and the relationships between those data
  • Develop mappings and related logical or conceptual models to show relationships of internal and external concepts to architecture products
  • Assist with storing and maintaining data and related associations in the architecture repository (currently in SQL Server)
  • Assist with analysis of architecture repository data to respond to requests from stakeholders for information to inform work efforts or decision-making
  • Assist with development of data visualizations to provide information to stakeholders in a consumable format
  • Identify, develop, and implement automation and AI-driven solutions that automate business processes, accelerate analysis, and enhance decision-making (e.g., NLP, predictive analytics, SQL queries, APIs)
  • Describe the primary business functions of the enterprise and distinguish between customer-facing, supplier-related, business execution, and business management functions
  • Develop and propose solutions that solve/alleviate client problems
  • Develop and share intellectual capital that furthers team efficiency or performance (e.g., documenting internal practices, mentorship to other team members, etc.)
  • Provide regular status reporting and quarterly status briefs on ongoing team work efforts

Qualifications

  • 8 years relevant experience (e.g., business analysis, data analysis, automation development)
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline
  • Strong SQL Server skills (including query development)
  • Experience managing schemas, updating tables, and performing ETL
  • Proficiency in Python
  • Experience with AI/ML frameworks, APIs, and workflow automation tools (e.g., Azure, Power Automate)
  • Experience with data analysis and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Power Apps)
  • Demonstrated ability to articulate relationships and perform “mapping” or “traceability” among architectural constructs (e.g., reference models, processes, information/data, capabilities, systems, etc.)
  • Experience using model-based representations that can be adjusted as required to collect, aggregate, or disaggregate complex and conflicting information about the business
  • Direct customer engagement experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including SharePoint and Teams
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to communicate appropriately at all levels of the organization; this includes written and verbal communications as well as visualizations

Additional Desired Skills

  • Experience working on government contracts (specifically with VA or DoD) a plus
  • Experience using enterprise architecture tools such as Microsoft Visio or equivalent a plus
  • Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, DoDAF, FEAF, Zachman) a plus

Experience:
