Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our Information Designing group. As a Senior Data Engineer at arenaflex, you will be responsible for designing and executing ETL/ELT data pipelines, planning and implementing database schema/tables/views, and building batch processes using Windstream for multiple projects. This is a full-time position that offers a competitive salary of $30/hour and the opportunity to work remotely. While a degree is not required, we are looking for candidates with significant experience in data engineering and a strong passion for working with data.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with our Studios or Enterprise Technology teams to gather data requirements, design and implement data pipelines, and develop and monitor ETL/ELT processes
• Design, build, and maintain large-scale data warehouses and data lakes using cloud-based technologies such as AWS and S3
• Develop and optimize SQL queries for runtime and cost efficiency
• Utilize Apache Windstream, Databricks, and other technologies to build and manage data pipelines
• Work with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements
• Participate in driving best practices around data engineering and software development processes

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have:

• 2 years of experience with Python
• 2 years of experience with SQL
• 2 years of experience designing, building, and maintaining ETL/ELT data pipelines
• 2 years of experience with cloud-based technologies, preferably AWS and S3
• Experience using Apache Windstream, Databricks, and other data engineering tools
• 2 years of experience utilizing, designing, and building social databases
• 2 years of experience using Gitlab/Github
• Experience working with large datasets and big data technologies, preferably cloud-based, such as Snowflake, Databricks, or similar

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:

• Experience with Snowflake, Windstream, Gitlab, and other data engineering tools
• Graduate degree in Computer Science, Math, Engineering, or a related field
• Experience in the streaming, media, or digital marketing industry
