Primary Job Responsibilities

As an Experienced Insurance Customer Service Representative, you'll be responsible for:

  • Interacting with customers, clients, insurance carriers, and internal sources to provide coverage information and resolve inquiries
  • Completing a variety of day-to-day client service transactions, including policy endorsements, certificates, binders, cancellations, or other necessary tasks as needed
  • Evaluating client needs and researching to answer inquiries and make appropriate coverage recommendations
  • Completing carrier certifications to obtain Ready to Sell Status for multiple insurance providers
  • Utilizing tools and applications to complete needs assessments and provide personalized solutions to customers
  • Resolving customer objections and offering additional benefits packages that provide increased coverage and cost savings
  • Participating in weekly reviews of quality standards and performance to ensure exceptional customer service

Qualifications & Experience

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • The ability to complete pre-licensing course and pass the applicable resident state exam
  • The ability to pass the Insurance Application Form background screening as applicable by state
  • An organized and self-motivated approach, with a willingness to study and learn in a continuous-learning environment
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to toggle between screens while chatting with customers
  • Exceptional customer service skills, with a focus on delivering personalized solutions and exceeding customer expectations
  • Experience in Customer Service, Healthcare, Insurance, or related fields is preferred, but not required
  • A high school diploma (higher education preferred)
  • The ability to pass a background check and drug screening
