Job Overview
As a High School Math Tutor, you will be responsible for providing personalized support and guidance to students in the following subjects:
- High School Math
- Homework Prep
- Algebra
- Geometry
- Calculus
Responsibilities
As a High School Math Tutor, you will be expected to:
- Provide a session report for our office and families within 24 hours of each tutoring session
- Effectively balance tutoring hours given for each assigned student
- Successfully and professionally teach students to fit their individual needs
- Service existing clients' concerns, questions, and requests
- Follow-up with office when a student's enrollment package is low on hours
- Candidates must only service students whose needs meet theirs
Minimum Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the education field and industry preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in tutoring/teaching in specialized education fields preferred
- Credentialed tutors and/or graduate degrees are a plus but not a requirement
- Experience with basic Database/ Data Entry
- Ability to prepare accordingly for each tutoring session (lesson plan)
- Having a personality that is suited for different types of students
- Strong administration skills
- Strong typing, PC, and recording skills
- Having reliable transportation with current car insurance is a must
- Access to the internet, a computer, and a smartphone
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience working with students with diverse learning needs and abilities
- Familiarity with educational software and technology
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience with lesson planning and curriculum development
