Key Responsibilities

As an Airline Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you will be responsible for:

  • Handling inbound and outbound customer service calls, emails, and chat inquiries in a professional and empathetic manner.
  • Assisting customers with flight reservations, cancellations, rebookings, and ticket modifications, ensuring seamless travel experiences.
  • Providing information on airline policies, baggage rules, check-in procedures, and flight status updates to ensure customers are well-informed.
  • Addressing customer concerns and complaints in a timely and effective manner, resolving issues to their satisfaction.
  • Coordinating with airport and airline staff to ensure smooth operations for passengers, ensuring a seamless travel experience.
  • Processing refunds, vouchers, and travel credits when necessary, maintaining accurate customer records and adhering to data protection guidelines.
  • Meeting performance targets, including call handling time and customer satisfaction scores, to ensure exceptional service delivery.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent (a Bachelor's degree is a plus).
  • Prior customer service experience, preferably in the travel, hospitality, or airline industry.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently, with a strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems, reservation platforms, and CRM software, with a willingness to learn new software and systems.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills, with the ability to remain calm and professional when dealing with difficult customers.
  • Multilingual candidates are a plus, especially those fluent in Spanish, French, or Mandarin.

Experience

We are seeking candidates with a minimum of 1-2 years of customer service experience, preferably in the airline or travel industry. Previous experience working remotely is an advantage, as is a strong understanding of airline policies and procedures.

Working Hours

As a remote worker, you will have the flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Part-time roles require a minimum of 30 hours per week, while full-time employees work 40 hours per week on rotating shifts.
