Key Responsibilities

As a Customer Service Associate I, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Assisting customers with questions and recommendations to ensure a positive and satisfying shopping experience
• Managing sales transactions while working assigned cash register, maintaining accuracy and efficiency in processing transactions
• Maintaining the security of cash and protecting company assets, adhering to blithequark's policies and procedures
• Keeping the store well-stocked, recovering merchandise, and ensuring a visually appealing store environment
• Receiving merchandise and assisting with unloading trucks, stock replenishment in accordance with productivity standards
• Ensuring a positive, safe, and respectful environment while maintaining professional and friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders
• Maintaining the cleanliness throughout the store, including cleaning and restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, taking out the trash, and ensuring all areas are neat and presentable
• Performing other duties as assigned by management to support the success of the store

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

• A high school diploma or equivalent
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment (highly preferred)
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents
• Physical ability to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable:

• Previous experience working in a fast-paced retail environment
• Knowledge of retail operations, including cash handling and inventory management
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in processing transactions
