Responsibilities

As an Experienced Customer Care Specialist - Onsite Training & Development, you will be responsible for:

  • Handling inbound calls from customers regarding loan-level inquiries in hazard insurance, mortgage banking, and property loss, providing empathetic and solution-focused support.
  • Researching and resolving complex customer issues, often requiring creative problem-solving and outside-the-box thinking.
  • Proactively assisting customers in avoiding future challenges by understanding their current issues and providing personalized guidance.
  • Participating in special projects and adjusting priorities as requested, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
  • Engaging in a comprehensive paid training program to learn about the business, systems, and policies, ensuring a deep understanding of our products and services.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum high school diploma or GED.
  • At least 2 years of prior experience in a customer-facing role, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and listening skills, with the ability to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Strong attention to detail and great communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers and colleagues alike.
  • The ability to own the customer's problem and think creatively to resolve issues, often requiring outside-the-box thinking.
  • The ability to adapt to change and work well in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of energy and enthusiasm.
  • The ability to multi-task using technology, with a strong proficiency in software applications and systems.

Nice-to-haves

While not essential, the following qualifications would be highly desirable:

  • A college degree and 0-1 years of work experience in an office, call center, or customer contact center environment.
  • Prior experience in a work-from-home position, with a proven ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish, with the ability to speak, read, and write Spanish fluently, and a strong desire to serve a diverse customer base.
  • Relevant licenses and certifications, such as a customer service certification or a degree in a related field.
