Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced Part-Time Remote Data Entry Clerk to join our team on a permanent basis. This role is ideal for individuals who are comfortable working on a computer all day, possess exceptional typing skills, and have a keen eye for detail. As a data entry clerk, you'll be responsible for receiving and processing customer requests, submitting tickets into our Help Desk system, and providing timely updates to customers via email. Key Responsibilities

As a Part-Time Remote Data Entry Clerk, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Receiving and processing customer requests for technical assistance via phone, email, or online chat
  • Opening and submitting tickets into our Help Desk system for review by our team of Help Desk technicians
  • Reviewing each open ticket to determine the outcome and coordinating with customers as necessary
  • Providing timely and accurate updates to customers via email to ensure exceptional customer service
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of customer interactions and ticket resolutions
  • Collaborating with our Help Desk team to resolve complex technical issues and provide support to customers

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need to possess the following essential qualifications:

  • Previous experience in I.T. Help Desk ticketing or online customer service for a technology company or busy online retailer
  • Excellent typing skills (at least 40 wpm) and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment with minimal supervision
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new systems and processes quickly
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications would be an asset in this role:

  • Experience with Help Desk ticketing systems, such as Zendesk or ServiceNow
  • Familiarity with cloud-based applications and software as a service (SaaS) platforms
  • Knowledge of ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) principles and best practices
  • Certification in customer service or IT support, such as CompTIA A+ or ITIL Foundation
