Job Summary

As a General Laborer/Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, safely and efficiently removing unwanted items from customers' properties, and promoting blithequark's values and mission. This is a part-time (2-3 days/week) and full-time (4-5 days/week) opportunity with flexible scheduling, including morning and afternoon shifts, Monday through Saturday.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive experience for all customers

  • Safely and efficiently remove unwanted items from customers' properties, adhering to blithequark's safety protocols and procedures
  • Operate blithequark's iconic, shiny blue trucks, ensuring they are clean and well-maintained
  • Dispose of items responsibly through blithequark's recycling, donating, and waste management facilities
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve daily service goals and objectives
  • Participate in regular team meetings and training sessions to enhance knowledge and skills

Requirements

• 19+ years of age (required for insurance purposes)

  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record (past 3 years)
  • Positive, friendly attitude and excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Physically able to lift 50lbs+ repeatedly
  • Previous customer service, sales, physical labor, and/or driving experience a plus!

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent

  • Previous experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in the service industry
  • Basic knowledge of safety protocols and procedures
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
