Job Overview

The Customer Service Representative role at blithequark is the face of our organization, directly impacting our members' service experience. This position involves handling customer service inquiries and problems via telephone, internet, or written correspondence. The inquiries can range from basic to complex, requiring a deep understanding of our plans, tools, and resources to guide members towards a clear path to care. As a Customer Service Representative, you will engage, consult, and educate members based on their unique needs, preferences, and understanding of blithequark plans and policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answer questions and resolve issues based on phone calls, letters, or digital inquiries from members, providers, and other departments.
  • Triage resulting rework to appropriate staff, ensuring efficient resolution of member inquiries.
  • Document and track contacts with members, providers, and plan sponsors, maintaining accurate records.
  • Guide members through their plan of benefits, explaining blithequark policies and procedures, as well as regulatory guidelines.
  • Create an emotional connection with our members by understanding and engaging them fully, championing their best health.
  • Take accountability to fully understand the member’s needs, building a trusting and caring relationship.
  • Anticipate customer needs, providing related information to answer unasked questions, such as additional plan details, benefit plan details, and member self-service tools.
  • Explain members' rights and responsibilities in accordance with their contract.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Must reside within a 50-mile radius of New Albany, OH, to potentially work onsite in case of an outage.
  • Customer service experience in a transaction-based environment, such as a call center or retail location, is preferred, demonstrating empathy and compassion.
  • Experience in a production environment.
  • High School or GED equivalent.

Education and Work Schedule

A High School diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent experience is required. This is a full-time position with anticipated weekly hours of 40. The role offers a competitive pay range, with the typical pay for this role being $17.00 - $25.65 per hour, depending on experience, education, geography, and other relevant factors.
