Job Summary
As a Customer Service Associate - Temporary, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, processing transactions, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. You will work closely with our team to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience that meets the highest standards of quality and service.
Key Responsibilities
* Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services
- Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive customer experience
- Model and share customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience
- Provide customers with courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service
- Recommend items for sale to customers and recommend trade-up and/or companion items
- Register customer purchases on assigned cash register, collect cash, and distribute change as requested
- Process voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges as needed
- Keep counters and shelves clean and well merchandised, take inventory, and maintain records
- Check in and price merchandise as required or as directed by store manager or communicated by the shift leader
- Implement Company asset protection procedures to identify and minimize profit loss
- Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products (e.g., alcoholic beverages and tobacco products)
- Construct and maintain displays, including promotional, seasonal, super structures, and sale merchandise
- Complete resets and revisions as directed
- Assist with separation of food items (e.g., raw foods from pre-cooked) and product placement as specified by policies/procedures
- Provide customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photo service, poster print, and creative machine
- Suggestively sell promotional photo products
- Assume web pick-up responsibilities (monitors orders in Picture Care Plus, fills orders, and delivers orders to customers as they arrive at store)
- Assist with exterior and interior maintenance by ensuring a clean, neat, orderly store condition and appearance
- Comply with all company policies and procedures; maintain respectful relationships with coworkers
- Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned
Essential Qualifications
* High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous customer service experience preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a cash register
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time
Preferred Qualifications
* Previous experience in retail or customer service industry
- Knowledge of store systems and store equipment
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn new software applications
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
