The Role
As an Experienced Mechanical Customer Service Expert, you will be responsible for handling customer inquiries with care, providing excellent service through active listening, and resolving issues proactively. You will work in a collaborative and engaging environment, interacting with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures. Your responsibilities will include:
- Handling and carefully responding to all customer inquiries
- Providing excellent customer service through active listening
- Working with confidential customer information and treating it sensitively
- Aiming to resolve issues on the first call by being proactive
- Appropriately communicating with customers
- Calmly attempting to resolve and de-escalate any issues
- Escalating interactions when necessary and appropriate
- Tracking all call-related information for auditing and reporting purposes
- Providing feedback on call issues
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Ability to work remotely in a virtual team environment
- 6 months of customer service experience preferred
- Over 18 years of age
- Ability to type 25 wpm
- High School Graduate or GED
- Comfort with desktop computer systems
- Proven oral and written communication skills
- Logical problem-solving skills
- Ability to navigate Windows operating systems
- Organization and work prioritization skills
Nice-to-Haves
While not required, the following skills and qualifications are highly desirable:
- Experience working in a call center or customer-facing environment
- Familiarity with CRM software and other customer service tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
