Responsibilities

As an Experienced Data Entry Clerk at blithequark, you will be responsible for:

  • Performing a variety of support functions to support the department, including data entry, report generation, and data analysis.
  • Handling multiple projects simultaneously and prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Assisting in compiling data and generating reports to support business decisions.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records and databases.
  • Providing exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders.

  • Staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data entry and customer service.

Required Skills & Experience

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school degree or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a data entry clerk, preferably in a remote or virtual environment.
  • Fast typing skills, with the ability to maintain accuracy and speed.
  • Knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets, including MS Office Word and Excel.
  • Working knowledge of office equipment and computer hardware and peripheral devices.
  • Basic understanding of databases and data analysis principles.
  • Good command of English, both oral and written, and excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy and precision.

Preferred Skills & Experience

While not required, the following skills and experience are highly desirable:

  • Knowledge of touch typing systems and techniques.
  • Experience with data entry software and systems, such as data entry templates and macros.
  • Familiarity with database management systems and data analysis tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively.

Equipment Specifications

To perform the duties of this role, you will need:

  • Dual monitors, with the ability to have Teams/Outlook open on both screens.
  • A keyboard with a 10-key number pad.
  • A Windows 10 or 11 operating system.
  • An ISP download speed of 25Mbps or higher.
  • A minimum screen resolution of 1920 X 1080 (higher preferred).
  • A laptop that can run an external monitor at the prescribed resolution (laptops are acceptable, but they must be able to run an external monitor).
  • No Chromebook or MacBook.
  • A web camera for Teams meetings.
  • A headset or external speakers (if none built-in) for calls.
