About this Opportunity As a Customer Care Representative at blithequark, you'll play a critical role in providing service to our policyholders and claimants. You'll work with customers to take payments, make policy changes, take new loss information, resolve and answer problems, and respond to information requests. This is an entry-level position in our contact center, and it provides an excellent career pathway into our Claims and Operations organization, with opportunities for additional skill-building and career development. Key Responsibilities * Take ownership to ensure that we go above and beyond to service each caller's needs, utilizing every touch point as an opportunity to build value and the blithequark brand. * Provide exceptional customer service experience to our policyholders in every interaction. * Handle inbound telephone calls from customers with questions or servicing needs related to their home and/or auto policy. * Be the first point of contact to our policyholders, explaining the claims process, initiating damage appraisals, and organizing car rental where appropriate. * Initiate claims according to claims best practices, as assigned. * Promote digital self-service capabilities on all transactions. * Utilize multiple computer applications with accuracy. Qualifications * A demonstrated background in customer service, insurance, retail, restaurant, or a related field. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong ability to empathize with customers. * Ability to work in a fast-paced complex environment while multitasking. * Strong attention to detail. * Experience working in a Windows-based computer environment. * The ability to work in a collaborative environment. * Problem-solving and critical thinking skills. * Bilingual – (Spanish/English is a plus) to develop and enhance strong impactful customer relationships. * High School Diploma or equivalent required, bachelor's degree a plus. Additional Information For full-time, occasional, part-time, or remote positions: * High-speed broadband internet service is required. This position will have a remote work arrangement, with the expectation of coming into an office as business needs arise. Compensation The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency, and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of blithequark's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition.
