Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Accountant to work on a full-time basis, responsible for the bookkeeping capabilities connected with sales and use tax assessment and permit to operate compliance processes. This role requires a strong understanding of general ledger accounting, data analysis, and the ability to prepare monthly financial reports. The ideal candidate will work closely with our Senior Duty Bookkeepers to ensure the completion of daily accounting and tax activities in the Corporate Expense Division. This position offers a unique opportunity to work remotely from the USA, with a flexible schedule and a competitive salary range of $30-$35 per hour.

Key Responsibilities

• Plans and analyzes payroll and financial statements, consolidated statements, and other accounting statements and reports.
• Reviews and verifies the accuracy of journal entries and accounting orders assigned to different accounts.
• Applies sound accounting principles and creates or suggests accounting procedures and systems.
• Trains or assigns work to accountants, accounting clerks, and other partners to participate in daily accounting activities.
• Coordinates accounting matters with other departments, regions, and divisions.
• Participates in financial reporting.

Direct Supervisor and Direct Reports

This position typically reports to a Senior Manager. This job has no direct reports, but the successful candidate will be expected to work collaboratively with other team members to achieve common goals.

Travel Requirements

Regularly requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time. The majority of work will be performed remotely, with occasional travel to our office in Atlanta, USA.

Physical Requirements

Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position, with a regular opportunity to move about. Occasionally, there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Working Conditions

Located in a comfortable indoor area, with any unpleasant conditions being rare and not offensive. Models include phone operator and document agent.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be eighteen years old or older.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the US.

Preferred Qualifications

• 3 years of accounting experience preferred.
• Proficient high-level knowledge and expertise using Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
• Experience with general ledger software like SAP or comparable software.
• Demonstrated relational skills and ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to manage and execute multiple tasks.
• Solid written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Minimum Education

The knowledge, skills, and abilities are normally acquired through the completion of a four-year degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.

Minimum Years of Work Experience

2 years of relevant work experience required.
