As a temporary Customer Service Associate, you will have the opportunity to work with a talented and dedicated team, while also developing your skills and expertise in a dynamic retail setting.

Key Responsibilities

As a Customer Service Associate - Temporary, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Registering sales on assigned cash register, providing customers with courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service
  • Engaging customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services
  • Resolving customer issues and answering questions to ensure a positive customer experience
  • Modeling and sharing customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience
  • Recommending items for sale to customers and recommending trade-up and/or companion items
  • Registering customer purchases on assigned cash register, collecting cash and distributing change as requested; processing voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges as needed
  • Keeping counters and shelves clean and well merchandised, taking inventory, and maintaining records
  • Checking in and pricing merchandise as required or as directed by store manager or communicated by the shift leader
  • Implementing Company asset protection procedures to identify and minimize profit loss
  • Ensuring compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products (e.g., alcoholic beverages and tobacco products)
  • Constructing and maintaining displays, including promotional, seasonal, super structures, and sale merchandise
  • Assisting with separation of food items (e.g., raw foods from pre-cooked) and product placement as specified by policies/procedures
  • Providing customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photo service, poster print and creative machine, suggestive sell of promotional photo products
  • Assisting with exterior and interior maintenance by ensuring clean, neat, orderly store condition and appearance
  • Complying with all company policies and procedures; maintaining respectful relationships with coworkers

Training & Personal Development

As a temporary Customer Service Associate, you will have access to comprehensive training and development opportunities to help you succeed in your role. These may include:

  • Attending training sessions and completing PPLs (Product, Process, and Location) requested by Manager or assigned by corporate
  • Participating in on-the-job training and coaching to develop your skills and expertise
  • Opportunities for advancement and career growth within the company

Basic Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must:

  • Be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico)
  • Be willing to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, we prefer candidates with:

  • Six months of experience in a retail environment
  • Prior work experience with blithequark
