Job Responsibilities
As a Lead Engineer in our Infrastructure Voice group, you will be responsible for managing telephony solutions using open-source technology, such as Asterisk and Kamailio. You will configure and customize telephony systems to meet business requirements while ensuring high availability and reliability of telephony services. You will also stay up-to-date with the latest open-source telephony technology and trends. In addition to your technical expertise, you will work closely with cross-functional technical teams to implement and troubleshoot solutions, while providing technical knowledge and expertise. You will also partner with business specialists to understand business needs and work to build solutions that meet those needs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage telephony solutions using open-source technology
- Configure and customize telephony systems to meet business requirements
- Stay up-to-date with the latest open-source telephony technology and trends
- Work closely with cross-functional technical teams to implement and troubleshoot solutions
- Partner with business specialists to understand business needs and build solutions
- Develop and maintain technical documentation and knowledge base
- Collaborate with other teams to identify and implement process improvements
Requirements
* 4-year degree or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of software development experience
- Telephony experience in a professional setting
- Experience with open-source technology (Asterisk, Kamailio, or similar)
- Experience with APIs to automate tasks and responsibilities pipelines
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects
- Experience with cloud-based technologies and platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with Session Border Controllers
- Experience with cloud-based telephony solutions
- Experience with DevOps tools and practices
- Experience with agile development methodologies
