Job Summary

As a Technical Customer Support Representative at blithequark, you will be responsible for providing top-notch support to our customers, troubleshooting complex technical issues, and collaborating with our team to resolve problems. Schedule

We are looking for a Technical Customer Support Representative to work a flexible schedule, preferably from 10am to 6pm CT, Tuesday to Saturday. This schedule allows you to have a great work-life balance while still being able to provide exceptional support to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

As a Technical Customer Support Representative at blithequark, you will be responsible for:

  • Identifying, investigating, and resolving customer questions or problems with computer software and hardware
  • Providing email, chat, and telephone support to end-users experiencing technical difficulties
  • Applying knowledge of computer software, hardware, and procedures to solve problems
  • Guiding users through diagnostic and troubleshooting processes, which may include use of diagnostic tools and software and/or following verbal instructions
  • Identifying and escalating support situations requiring urgent attention
  • Tracking and routing support requests via computerized ticketing system; thoroughly documenting resolutions
  • Staying current with product upgrades, system information, and business updates
  • Collaborating with other team members to research and resolve problems
  • Performing other related duties as assigned

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn an array of computer hardware and software
  • Thorough understanding of computer software and hardware, including desktop computers, network devices, and peripherals
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Professional and pleasant telephone manner
  • Ability to explain technical issues to technical and nontechnical customers
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Willingness to have telephone conversations monitored for quality assurance

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, we prefer candidates with:

  • Associate's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in customer technical support

Physical Demands

As a Technical Customer Support Representative, you will be required to:

  • Sit for the duration of the workday
  • Use a keyboard, headset, and computer monitor for the workday
