About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Java Software Engineer to join our Customer Systems team. As a key member of this team, you'll be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying scalable, high-performance software solutions that meet the needs of our customers. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams, including business leaders, application owners, designers, and project managers, to ensure that our solutions are aligned with business goals and customer needs.

Key Responsibilities

* Design, develop, and deploy Java-based software solutions using Spring, REST, and other relevant technologies

• Collaborate with business leaders, application owners, designers, and project managers to understand customer needs and develop solutions that meet those needs
• Work independently to identify and resolve complex technical issues, often under tight deadlines
• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to ensure high-quality code
• Develop and maintain large-scale, distributed systems that can handle high volumes of traffic and data
• Design and implement secure, reliable, and scalable software solutions that meet the needs of our customers
• Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in the industry, and apply that knowledge to improve our solutions

Essential Qualifications

* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field

• 2+ years of experience in Java development, with a focus on large-scale, distributed systems
• Strong understanding of Java, Spring, REST, and other relevant technologies
• Experience with designing and implementing secure, reliable, and scalable software solutions
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
• Experience with Agile development methodologies and version control systems (e.g. Git)

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience with artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies

• Experience with designing and implementing large-scale, distributed systems
• Experience with cloud-based technologies (e.g. AWS, Azure)
• Experience with DevOps practices and tools (e.g. Jenkins, Docker)
• Experience with testing and quality assurance methodologies (e.g. TDD, BDD)
