Job Summary

As an experienced entry-level machinist, you'll play a critical role in our manufacturing operations, working closely with our production team to ensure the highest quality products. Your primary responsibilities will include setting up and operating surface and rotary grinders, inspecting workpieces, and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities

* Set up and edit offsets on surface and rotary grinders, ensuring accuracy and precision

• Load and secure workpieces onto the work table, adjust program offsets, and set limit switches
• Position and secure workpieces on magnetic chucks, holding fixtures, or directly to machine tables
• Adjust limit switches to optimize wheel life and machine cycle time
• Inspect workpieces for quality and accuracy, removing any defective pieces
• Use math, geometry, and trigonometry to complete job responsibilities
• Read and interpret 2D blueprints to ensure accurate machining operations

• Constant standing, bending, and reaching

• Exposure to a typical machine shop setting with moderate noise levels and moving mechanical parts
