Job Responsibilities

As a High School Math Tutor/Instructor, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Providing exceptional math tutoring services while making it fun for students
• Assessing students' progress throughout instructional sessions, and working collaboratively with team members to deliver the best possible experience for students
• Providing personalized math instruction in elementary, middle school through Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1 & 2, Geometry, and Pre-Calculus
• Becoming proficient with digital educational materials & processes
• Teaching in-center, online, and/or via hybrid delivery using the Mathnasium Method, terminology, and teaching practices which include individualized instruction in a group setting
• Evaluating, grading, and correcting student work and homework

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

• A passion for math and working with students
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Exceptional math competency through at least Algebra 2
• The ability to balance various ongoing tasks
• A willingness to learn, be trained, and create a fun learning experience for students

Preferred Qualifications

While not essential, the following qualifications would be highly desirable:

• A bachelor's degree in mathematics or a related field
• Experience working with students in a tutoring or teaching capacity
• Familiarity with digital educational materials and processes
• Availability to work in the afternoons and evenings, 3-5 days/week, Monday through Thursday, and Saturday morning
