About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Software Engineer to join our Opaque Contact and Sensing team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining our web and cloud applications. Your primary focus will be on creating innovative solutions that drive success and meet the needs of our customers. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from electrostatics and multiphysics modeling to sensor design and device-level performance evaluation.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain web and cloud applications using a variety of programming languages and frameworks.
• Design and implement scalable and efficient software solutions that meet the needs of our customers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, mechanical designers, and material scientists, to develop innovative solutions.
• Conduct rigorous design reviews with internal groups and vendors to ensure that our solutions meet the highest standards of quality and performance.
• Work with a team of experienced engineers to develop and maintain our software applications.
• Develop and maintain analytical models for predicting sensor performance, accounting for manufacturing and environmental variations.
• Conduct circuit modeling, statistical analysis, and layout with attention to device integration.
• Evaluate tolerance and sensitivity of designs.
• Correlate bench testing to simulation models.
• Develop and maintain software tools and scripts to automate tasks and improve efficiency.

Essential Qualifications

• Robust background in electrostatics and dielectric materials.
• Experience with FEA modeling tools and expertise in the underlying governing equations.
• Direct experience with COMSOL (or equivalent) FEA simulation software.
• Expertise in material conduct and how it affects sensor performance due to thermal, humidity, electromagnetic, and mechanical effects. Multiphysics modeling background to incorporate these effects is a plus.
• Proper expertise in electrical circuits. Experience with touch sensor design is a plus.
• Familiarity with CAD software, including SolidWorks or NX, is a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to facilitate cross-functional dialogue are essential.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Physics-related fields, or equivalent business experience.
• Experience with cloud-based platforms, such as AWS or Azure.
• Knowledge of web development frameworks, such as React or Angular.
• Experience with agile development methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
