About the Role

As an In-Store Shopper, you will be an integral part of our Store Support team, working closely with our customers to prepare their online orders for delivery or pickup. Your primary responsibility will be to shop throughout our store for everyday goods, including food, household items, and other products, to fulfill our customers' orders. You will be the face of our company, representing Whole Foods Market and providing exceptional customer service to our Prime Now customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Shop for and prepare online orders for delivery or pickup, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving any issues that may arise
  • Work efficiently to fulfill orders, meeting productivity and quality standards
  • Maintain a clean and organized staging area, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as customer service, cashier, and grocery, to ensure seamless store operations
  • Stay up-to-date with product knowledge, customer service standards, and store operations to provide the best possible experience for our customers

Availability Requirements

We are looking for team members who are flexible and able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays. As our busiest times are on Saturdays and Sundays, we prefer candidates who are available to work during these times. You will receive your schedule up to 3 weeks in advance, and average shifts are 4-8 hours long.

Job Requirements

  • Comfort using handheld technology (mobile) devices to fulfill orders
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meeting productivity and quality standards
  • Detail-oriented, with a focus on product and order accuracy
  • Eagerness to learn product knowledge, customer service standards, and store operations
  • Ability to keep staging area organized and free of clutter
  • Willingness to work in other departments of the store as required

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment, collaborating with other departments
  • Basic knowledge of grocery products and store operations
  • Comfort using technology, including handheld devices and point-of-sale systems
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and move quickly throughout the store

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:

  • Previous experience in a retail or customer service environment
  • Knowledge of Whole Foods Market products and services
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Ability to speak multiple languages
