Responsibilities

As a Remote Online Chat Specialist, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Answering incoming customer live chats regarding website navigation issues, service questions, and general client concerns with empathy, patience, and a solutions-focused approach
  • Evaluating customer interactions and escalating issues to the Online Chat Manager when necessary to ensure seamless resolution
  • Building relationships with new customers to better understand their needs and preferences, and tailoring your responses to meet their unique requirements
  • Responding to customer questions, inquiries, requests, and problems accurately, concisely, and professionally, while promoting interest in our client products and services
  • Consistently achieving established standards of the position, including response times, resolution rates, and customer satisfaction metrics
  • Portraying and projecting a positive and professional image through every interaction, both written and verbal
  • Providing administrative support to the customer service team, including data entry, reporting, and other tasks as needed
  • Assisting with overflow work and other duties as required to ensure seamless service delivery

Qualifications

To succeed as a Remote Online Chat Specialist, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in customer service, preferably in a remote or online environment
  • Strong telephone etiquette and communication skills, with the ability to adapt to different personalities and communication styles
  • Familiarity with CRM tools and software, including data entry and reporting
