About the Role:
As a Distributed Systems Engineer at blithequark, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying distributed systems that meet the needs of our business. You will work closely with our data platform team to develop and maintain our data infrastructure, including our database access layer, data stage foundation, and large data figure. You will also collaborate with our engineering teams to integrate our data platform with other systems and applications.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design, develop, and deploy distributed systems that meet the needs of our business
- Collaborate with our data platform team to develop and maintain our data infrastructure
- Work closely with our engineering teams to integrate our data platform with other systems and applications
- Develop and maintain high-quality, scalable, and highly available cloud-based applications
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of our codebase
- Collaborate with our data scientists to develop and deploy machine learning models
- Develop and maintain our data pipelines and ETL processes
- Participate in on-call rotations and provide support for our data platform
Essential Qualifications:
* 2+ years of experience in building large-scale distributed systems or applications
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, cloud computing, and big data technologies
- Experience with Java or other object-oriented programming languages
- Strong understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and data analytics
- Experience with data pipelines, ETL processes, and data integration
- Strong understanding of cloud-based platforms, such as AWS or GCP
- Experience with containerization, such as Docker or Kubernetes
- Strong understanding of DevOps practices and tools, such as Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience with big data technologies, such as Hadoop, Spark, or NoSQL databases
- Experience with machine learning frameworks, such as TensorFlow or PyTorch
- Experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI
- Strong understanding of cloud security and compliance
- Experience with agile development methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban
- Strong understanding of continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices
