Our innovative solutions enable real-time funds availability for a variety of payment types, and we serve a diverse network of approximately 2,500 financial institutions, government entities, and payment companies.

Job Summary

As a Sr. Data Analyst - Data Quality & Governance, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of our data. You'll work closely with our data and engineering teams to identify areas for improvement, evaluate and implement viable solutions, and provide expert consultation and day-to-day support for our data quality and governance function.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own root cause analysis and identify key areas of improvement in our operational processes
  • Provide recommendations and implement viable solutions to improve data quality and governance
  • Build out the infrastructure to track key business metrics in partnership with data and engineering teams
  • Launch, improve, de-risk, and scale Early Warning's products and systems in collaboration with operations, engineering, and product teams
  • Ensure data requirements for operations teams are met when launching new initiatives or products
  • Participate in the development and implementation of data-related strategies and initiatives
  • Communicate complex findings and recommendations to stakeholders, including senior management, in a clear and concise manner
  • Support the company's commitment to risk management and protecting the integrity and confidentiality of systems and data

Requirements

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Finance, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in data analytics, data quality, or data governance
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and serve as a trusted expert for assigned duties
  • Passion for performing data deep dives and using statistical techniques to uncover significant insights
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organization skills, including the ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects
  • Proficiency in data manipulation tools such as SQL, Python, or R
  • Strong working knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau)
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate across all levels of the organization

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with statistical techniques including regression, clustering, time series analysis
  • Undergraduate degree in CS
  • Master's degree in a quantitative discipline
  • Prior experience working in payments, financial services, or similar regulated industry

What We Offer

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Competitive salary: $110,000 - $125,000 per year (Chicago, IL), $116,000 - $135,000 per year (San Francisco, CA and New York, NY)
