Key Responsibilities:

As a Southwest Software Engineer, you'll play a critical role in driving innovation and delivering solutions that meet the needs of our clients. Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading, supporting, and influencing the delivery of solutions and services that are technically and practically sound, well-coordinated, and aligned with our technical strategy and client requirements
• Guiding and leading colleagues using SWA talent management practices to mentor, develop, and engage employees
• Adhering to Organization values and skills to foster a culture of inclusion, recognition, and support of a safe workplace
• Investing in leadership and self-development through participating in ongoing learning and improvement
• Leading cross-functional teams to deliver solutions and services that address business problems
• Providing technical thought leadership related to assigned functional areas

• Staying up-to-date with emerging trends, processes, and solutions related to assigned liabilities

Essential Qualifications:

To be successful as a Southwest Software Engineer, you'll need:

• A high school diploma or equivalent required; a four-year degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field and/or equivalent experience
• Proven experience in directly or indirectly leading teams
• Comprehensive knowledge in:
  • A Business or Information Technology environment
  • Leading teams and providing work direction
• Skilled in excellent cooperation, negotiation, and communication to work with interactions with business clients and technology teams
• Ability to provide strategic leadership to Team(s)
• Ability to use suitable motivation and influence methods to achieve desired team results
• Ability to set and manage stakeholder expectations
• Ability to deliver quality projects on time and within budget
• Ability to manage projects using the association's project management process

Preferred Qualifications:

• Authorization/Certification in a relevant field
• Experience working in a remote or distributed team environment
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies and DevOps practices
