Job Summary
As a Customer Service Representative for our Specialty Mail Order Pharmacy, you will be responsible for providing telephone support to patients receiving life-sustaining specialty drug therapy. You will be the primary point of contact for patients, handling new patient medication orders and reorders, verifying and revivifying benefits, and communicating with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams to ensure the processing of specialty medications in a timely manner. Your exceptional communication skills will be essential in resolving complex issues and ensuring that financial and clinical expectations are met prior to fulfillment.
Responsibilities
- Provide telephone support to patients receiving life-sustaining specialty drug therapy - Coordinate and process new patient medication orders and reorders, including verifying and revivifying benefits - Translate and enter new or refill prescriptions into the pharmacy information system - Communicate and collect copay amounts from patients - Obtain authorizations from insurance companies and healthcare providers - Work with internal teams to screen, identify, resolve, and defer orders with accounts receivable or clinical issues - Demonstrate compassionate and genuine care for patients and customers in a fast-paced environment
Requirements
- One year of experience in a customer service role handling and resolving a high volume of complex customer needs over the phone - One year of work experience with Windows-based applications, including Windows, Microsoft Office, internet navigation, and email applications - One year of computer keyboarding experience, skills, and aptitude - Verifiable high school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
- Pre-existing healthcare work experience and familiarity with benefits, insurance, prescriptions, and medical terminology - Experience working in a pharmacy or healthcare setting
Work Schedule and Location
- Must reside in Florida and within 75 miles of the Specialty location at 9310 Southpark Center Loop, Orlando, FL 32819 - Available work schedules: 11:30am - 8pm EST and 12:30pm - 9pm EST
Compensation and Benefits
