Job Summary
We're seeking highly motivated and enthusiastic Math Instructors/Tutors/Coaches to join our team in Maple Grove, MN. As a Math Instructor/Tutor/Coach, you'll have the opportunity to work with students of various skill levels and learning styles, using our proprietary Mathnasium Method. This is a part-time position with consistent but flexible hours after school and on weekends.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach and tutor students: Deliver individualized instruction in-center, online, and/or via hybrid delivery using the Mathnasium Method, terminology, and teaching practices.
- Collaborate with team members: Work together to develop and implement effective lesson plans and strategies.
- Assess student progress: Evaluate student learning and engagement throughout instructional sessions.
- Digital literacy: Become proficient with digital educational materials and processes.
- Maintain a safe learning environment: Support the maintenance of a safe, professional, and organized learning environment.
Essential Qualifications
- Passion for math and education: A genuine enthusiasm for math and a desire to make a positive impact on students' lives.
- Excellent interpersonal skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with students, parents, and team members.
- Eagerness to learn: A willingness to learn and be trained on our proprietary Mathnasium Method and teaching practices.
- Math competency: Exceptional math skills through at least Algebra I.
- Organizational skills: Ability to balance various ongoing tasks and responsibilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Teaching or tutoring experience: Previous experience working with students in a teaching or tutoring capacity.
- Math education background: A background in math education or a related field.
- Experience with digital educational tools: Familiarity with digital educational materials and processes.
