Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in or lead design reviews with peers and partners to select among available technologies, ensuring the best solutions for Google's products and services.
  • Design and build scalable, secure, and reliable infrastructure to facilitate the entire software development process and secure manufacturing for Google products.
  • Research, design, and develop state-of-the-art security features for future Pixel devices, staying ahead of the curve in the ever-evolving landscape of mobile security.
  • Improve infrastructure for fuzzing, testing, and Continuous Integration (CI), ensuring the highest quality and reliability of Google's software solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project needs, deadlines, and expectations, driving projects forward with technical expertise.
  • Develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software solutions, adhering to Google's high standards for quality, security, and performance.

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least 4 years of experience in software development, with a strong foundation in programming languages, data structures, and algorithms.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in information designs or calculations, with a focus on security, cryptography, or embedded systems development.
  • Experience with security evaluating and risk appraisals, or stage level weakness solidifying or testing in Linux, is highly desirable.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop creative solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

While not mandatory, the following skills and experiences will give you a competitive edge:

  • Experience with Google's technology stack, including Android, Google Cloud, or other relevant platforms.
  • Knowledge of security best practices, including secure coding, threat modeling, and vulnerability assessment.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban, and version control systems like Git.
  • Familiarity with Linux and/or other Unix-like operating systems, including scripting languages like Python or Perl.
