Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Field Service Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing various maintenance duties necessary to maintain and enhance the value of our communities. This includes general maintenance, grounds keeping, and capital improvement activities. The ideal candidate will be an independent, self-starter with excellent grounds keeping and maintenance skills, who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with the Maintenance Manager and Property Manager to identify janitorial, grounds keeping, and maintenance-related activities, as well as capital improvement projects.
• Perform grounds maintenance and overall upkeep of common areas, including landscaping, mowing lawns, trimming trees and bushes, planting flowers, and snow removal.
• General maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, and other tasks as needed.
• Multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines and ensuring timely completion of projects.
• Coordinate projects with vendors as needed and manage watering systems to optimize turf conditions.
• Painting, general carpentry, electrical, and plumbing tasks, including unclogging drains, and HVAC repair/replacement.
• Rehabbing of onsite or incoming homes, including additional tasks as needed.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• 2-3 years of general maintenance skills, with a focus on carpentry experience.
• Ability to paint, install drywall, insulation, general carpentry, siding & skirting, windows, doors, plumbing, flooring & light electrical to remodel manufactured homes.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
• A flexible schedule with weekend availability for maintenance emergencies.
• Ability to solve problems involving equipment, maintenance issues, emergency situations, etc.
• Ability to lift to 50 pounds.
• A valid driver's license and clean background.
• On-call for emergency maintenance as needed and must be available by cell phone.
